Correlation between Parenting Skills, Children’s Emotional and Intelligence Quotient with School Readiness

School readiness is critical to academic achievement in first grade. However, often parents only focus on cognitive without paying much attention children's emotional factors and parental that affect school readiness. This study aims identify the relationship between parenting skills, quotient (EQ), intelligence (IQ), uses a correlation design focuses internal factors. The research subjects were students from 21 kindergartens Magelang (n=165) who selected through simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out online questionnaires for parents, Raven Intelligence Scale, EQ tests children. data obtained analyzed regression analysis techniques. results of show has strongest with also correlates there no significant skills Based gender, difference boys girls. findings this imply needs be improved by developing as important intelligence.
